Amanda Michelle Wertman, 41, Winslow
Amanda Michelle Wertman, 41, of Winslow, went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2026, where she waited patiently for her daughter, Michaela, to follow.

Amanda was born July 8, 1985, to Michael Thompson and Sheila (Barrett) Boger.
Amanda had a great love for the Lord, and she was a member of Mount Olive General Baptist Church. She never knew a stranger and loved to have a good conversation with anyone she came in contact with. Most people said that she would always talk about her kids, family and the Lord.
Amanda was a 2004 graduate of Pike Central High School, and was an inside sales representative with Jasper Engines. She was the Troop Leader for Girl Scout Troop # 336. Amanda had a loving heart, and it showed in how she lived and treated those around her.
Amanda is preceded in death by her father, Michael Thompson; sister, Amelia Thompson; father-in-law, Donald Wertman; mother-in-law, Donna Wertman; sister-in-law, Starr Wertman; and grandfather, Denver Barrett.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Simon Wertman; son, Theodore Wertman; mother, Sheila Boger; brother, Jeremiah Thompson (Kristy); brother-in-law, Nathan Wertman (Kathy); grandmother, Georgia Barrett; nieces and nephews, Lillian, Magdalen, Nola, Olen, Chloe, Lincoln, Caiden, Adeline, along with many other friends and extended family.
Services for Amanda will be held at Mosaic Church in Petersburg on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EST with pastor Alex Benefiel officiating. Burial will follow at Ashby Cemetery in Winslow, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at Mosaic Church on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST and again on Saturday, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. EST.
The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Girl Scout of Southern Indiana or to the Pike County Youth Softball League.
