Alvin L. Burger, 99

Alvin L. Burger, age 99, of Jasper, passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, IN.

Alvin was born in Jasper, IN on June 25, 1914 to Felix and Irene (Jahn) Burger.

Alvin was a farmer and also worked for Jasper Veneer Mills for over 20 years, from which he retired.

He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

He enjoyed gardening and studying medical publications.

Alvin is survived by aregivers, John and Cathy Burger, Jasper, IN; and cousins.

Preceding him in death is one brother, Charles H. Burger, and a sister Rose Burger, who died in childhood.

Funeral services for Alvin Burger will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
