Altha L. “Pat” Padgett, 96, of Indianapolis, formerly of Pike County, passed away July 14, 2017.

She was born April 14, 1921, in Cameron, Tex. to Ola and Ada (Stutts) Pratt.

Altha enjoyed being a homemaker, working in her lawn, gardening, and getting together with friends and family. Her greatest enjoyment was fishing and catching the biggest fish, which she usually did.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifton Padgett; parents, Ola and Ada Pratt; son, Wendell Padgett and granddaughter, Lori Padgett.

Altha is survived by her son, Lewis (Linda) Padgett; daughter, Debra Gazvoda; grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Parsons, Jeff (Denise) Padgett, Brandi (Kent) Russell-Eastwood, Rhett (Crystal) Russell, Ashley (Wesley) Ogden, Johnathan Gazvoda, Kate Gazvoda, Amber (Jason) Chittenden, Brian (Dawn) Moore and Christine (Tim) Stanfield; 22 great-grandchildren and sister in law, Joyce Drof.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Garden.
