Aloysius M. Schuler, 86
Aloysius M. Schuler, age 86 of Jasper passed away at 9:23 p.m. Thursday (November 17, 2011) at his home.
He was born at Henryville, Indiana on August 6, 1925 to Frederick and Elizabeth (Sehr) Schuler. He married Rosina Menonna on August 21, 1954 in St. Joan of Arch Catholic Church, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Al Schuler was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired teacher for the Greater Jasper School system for 38 years.
He also taught at Vincennes University Jasper Campus.
He received his Agriculture Science Degree from Purdue University in 1950 and later his Masters Degree.
He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served on the church Council and also served as an usher. Life member of the Jasper Knight of Columbus. Served twice as Commander of the American Legion Post # 147 and member of the V.F.W. Post # 673.

Funeral services for Aloysius Schuler will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (November 21, 2011) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. American Legion Post # 147 and the V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 11-8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher – Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Aloysius and Rosina Schuler Scholarship Fund C/O the Dubois County Community Foundation.
