Alice C. Demuth, 85, Ferdinand

Alice C. Demuth, 85, Ferdinand, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born Aug. 25, 1931, to Simon and Angela (Stratman) Demuth.

Ms. Demuth was a lifelong member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, its St. Anne’s Ladies Sodality and the Ferdinand Extension Homemakers Club.

Surviving are a sister, Helen Greener of Schnellville, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Othmar and Leo Demuth, and two sisters, Florentine Laake and Mary Verkamp.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 7:oo to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
