Alfred Hudson, 90, Ferdinand

Alfred Hudson, 90, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, at his home in Ferdinand.

Alfred was born on July 30, 1929, in Tell City, he was the son of the late Henry H. and Ella Mae Foster Hudson. He married Helen Scudder on May 25, 1973.

He was a farmer and then retired from General Motors. Alfred was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 124 of Ferdinand and enjoyed playing cards, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Ferdinand; a daughter Angela (Todd) Reed of Sellersburg; grandchildren, Joshua, John and Nicole; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a son, John; a daughter, Rhonda; and a brother, Allen Hudson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. ET Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Beard Cemetery near Bristow, with Bro. Al Madden officiating.  Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 will provide military honors.
