Alan C. McKinney, 62

Alan C. McKinney, age 62, of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away at 2:52 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his parent’s residence in Mooresville.

He was born November 4, 1951 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Herbert C. and Jean (Bernardi) McKinney.

He graduated from Birdseye High School with the Class of 1969 and served in the United States Army from 1971-73 as a Military Policeman in Ethiopia. Alan worked as a professional musician. He was preceded in death by: his father.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jean (Harold) DeWitt of Mooresville, Ind.; two sons, Sean McKinney of Hawaii and John McKinney of Indianapolis,; one sister, Vicki (Jeff) Vonderheide of Birdseye; and one grandson, Tristan Liam McKinney of Indianapolis.

Funeral services for Alan McKinney will be held at 11:00 a.m., EST, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye. Pastor Jeff Newton will officiate at the services.
