Agnes “Aggie” M. Schnarr, 71, of Jasper, Indiana , passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at home.

Aggie was born on March 5, 1943 in Jasper, Indiana to Joseph and Theresia (Schnell) Herzog. She married Kelly C. Schnarr on September 25, 1965 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2009.

Aggie worked for the Dubois County Health Department for many years.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper – Blessed Virgin Sodality, a participant of the Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at Precious Blood Catholic Church, and was the treasurer of the “Our Precious Angels” Memorial at the Dubois County Park.

She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, was an avid Jasper Basketball, Baseball and Band Supporter, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by one son, Brad Schnarr and his wife Jennifer, of Jasper; five grandchildren, Zachary and Leah Mauder and Allie, Caleb and Lexi Schnarr; two sisters, Mary Ann Armstrong and her husband Pete and Theresa Mundy and her husband Dan, both of Jasper; one brother; Henry Herzog and his wife Ann, of Jasper.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was one daughter, Jaclyn Mauder, one sister, Alberta Mervin and one brother, Roman Herzog.

Funeral services for Aggie Schnarr will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home by the Blessed Virgin Sodality of Holy Family Parish. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed at 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, located at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, The “Our Precious Angels” Memorial, the Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, or a favorite charity.
