Agnes A. Schneiders, 95

Agnes A. Schneiders, 95, of Ferdinand, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born December 23, 1917 to Edward and Mary (Heilers) Altmeyer in Ferdinand.

Agnes married Philamon “Doc” Schneiders on November 26, 1936 in Ferdinand. He died December 18, 1984.

Agnes was a former cook at Marian Heights Academy. She was a member of St. Ferdinand Church and its Saint Anne’s Sodality.

Agnes is survived by a son, Jack Schneiders and wife Kathy of Ferdinand; a daughter, Judi Hagedorn and husband Jim of Ferdinand; two sisters, Clara Schneiders and Evelyn Brockman both of Ferdinand; eight grandchildren, Jean Seidl, Tim Remke, Chad Schneiders, Cory Schneiders, Jamie Pund, Denise Heilers, Jeff Hagedorn and Kerri Winkler. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Remke and a sister Margaret Spayd.

Visitation will be Friday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from 7-9:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ferdinand Community Foundation or a favorite charity.
