Adeline M. Beier, 74

Adeline M. Beier, 74, of Fulda, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.
She was born in Fulda on Jan. 21, 1940, to Anton and Rose (Wink) Waninger. She married Richard Beier on July 16, 1960, in St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mrs. Beier was retired from Saint Meinrad Archabbey and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and its Ladies Sodality and the Fulda Sportsmen’s Club. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, cards and puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Beier; three daughters, Denise Gehlhausen and husband Tim of Bristow, Joyce Merkley and husband Paul of Celestine and Carla Libbert and husband Roger of Ferdinand; two sons, Stephen Beier and wife Bev of St. Meinrad and Daniel Beier and companion Kellie Clark of Fulda; three brothers, Richard Waninger and wife Nelda of Magnet, Kenny Waninger and wife Jo Ann of Fulda and Eugene Waninger and wife Carol of Santa Claus; a sister, Carol Vaal and husband Tom of St. Meinrad; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Beier; three sisters, Lorena Meyer, Esther Meyer and Marcella Fetter; and a brother, James Waninger.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. CST Monday in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. CST Sunday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and after 8:30 a.m. CST Monday at the church.
