Ada Mae Schmitt, 88
Ada Mae Schmitt, age 88, passed away at 3:05 a.m. (Today) Tuesday (August 21, 2012) in the Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community.
She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana September 17, 1923 to Andrew B. Sr. and Clara (Schwinghammer) Merkley. She married Raphael M. Schmitt on November 27, 1945 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, he preceded her in death February 9, 1980.
Ada Schmitt was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary to Post # 673 in Jasper.

14 grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son John who died in infancy also three brothers, Charles, Herrell and Andrew H. Merkley Jr.
Funeral services for Ada Mae Schmitt will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday (August 24, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday (August 23, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
V.F.W .Ladies Auxiliary Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
