Actors Community Theatre hiring production staff for upcoming play

Actors Community Theatre is excited to announce it is hiring production staff for its upcoming performances of “Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” a Radio Play, by Andrew. J. Fenady.

The performances will be held on December 1 & 2 at 7:30 PM at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center Black Box Theatre.

ACT is looking to fill the following paid positions:

Production Coordinator, Assistant Production Coordinator / Stage Manager, and Sound / Light Operator.

The Production Coordinator is responsible for casting, minimal costuming, setting a
rehearsal schedule (about 4 – 5 rehearsals), and making directorial decisions for the radio
play performance.

The Assistant Production Coordinator / Stage Manager is responsible for assisting the
production coordinator, helping to procure minimal props and costumes, administrative
tasks, and assisting with running the show on performance dates.

The Sound / Light Operator will design and run sounds and lights for rehearsal performances. Please note: The time commitment and skill level required for running the light and sounds for the radio play is much less intense than it would be for a full-length performance, so this would be a great role for both seasoned techies and newbies alike.

More information about auditions will be announced once the production team is in place.

A volunteer Board of Directors and generous community donations have played an integral part in the success of these and other ACT endeavors.

ACT is organized to provide the community with cultural and educational entertainment in all branches of dramatic arts. Our goal is to promote theatre as a necessity of community culture through productions, workshops, master classes, and other theatrical opportunities.
