Absentee voting begins Tuesday

Absentee voting will begin on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, on the third floor of the Dubois County Courthouse for the May 6th primary election.

The deadline for voters to register to vote or to transfer your voter registration is Monday, April 7, 2014.

You may do this on line at www.indianavoters.com or by coming to the Clerk’s office in the Dubois County Courthouse and completing the registration form. You may also verify your voter registration status and/or address, at http://www.indianavoters.com or by calling the Clerk’s office at 481-7035.

Absentee voting is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and noon to 4:00 p.m. The office is closed between 11 a.m. and noon for lunch.

Voters may also vote absentee on Saturday, April 26th and Saturday, May 2nd, between 8 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Courthouse.

For added convenience to voters, satellite absentee voting will be available at the Huntingburg Event Center and The Ferdinand Community Center. Hours of absentee voting will be Monday, April 28th thru Friday May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m., and Saturday May 2nd at both locations from 8:00 a.m. –noon.

Voters are reminded that photo identification will be required to vote a regular absentee ballot in the clerk’s office.

Voters who wish to vote absentee by mail or by travel board must request an application for an absentee ballot from the clerk’s office at 481-7035.
