Karen Woolsey, 61, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in Indianapolis.

She was born May 4, 1954 to Dorothy (Dudine) Meyer and the late James Meyer.

Karen was a 1972 graduate of Jasper High School and graduated as a radiology technician from the University of Evansville and received her bachelor’s degree from Oakland City University. She was employed as the Director of Radiology at St. Mary’s Hospital in Warrick County. She had worked for St. Mary’s Medical Center for over 30 years. Karen enjoyed traveling with her friends and family especially her recent trip to Paris. She also enjoyed cooking and watching sports.

Karen is survived by her son Justin Woolsey of Evansville; siblings, Patti (Luke) Stinnett of Bristol, Va., Michael (Cindi) Meyer of Jasper and Jennifer (Gary) Wakeland of Newburgh; niece Carmen (Randy) Ward and three great-grandnieces.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST Friday, February 19, 2016, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Evansville, IN 47714.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
