Edwina O. Seaton, 88, Jasper

Edwina O. Seaton, 88, of Jasper, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper.

She was born at St. Meinrad, Indiana on January 21, 1927, to Bernard and Theresia (Pund) Otto. She married Walter Guido Seaton on October 25, 1947, in St. Meinrad Archabbey Catholic Church.

Edwina worked at the Jasper Library for many years and also for Kimball International and the Huntingburg G.E.

She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, St. Ann’s Society, Daughters of Isabella, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Original Homemakers Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and sports.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Guido Seaton; four daughters, LaDonna Joergens of Evansville, Lois Kuntz of Jasper, Bridget Seaton of Jasper and Martha Hartz and husband Tony of Evansville; two sons, Roger Seaton and wife Marla of Melbourne, Fla. and Rob Seaton of Ferdinand; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Sander and husband Denis of Dubois.

Preceding her in death are one sister, Martina Sublett and four brothers, Lucas, Robert, Edwin and Leo Otto. Also daughter-in-law Jenny Seaton.

Funeral services for Edwina Seaton will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from Noon to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Rosary will be held at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday by the D of I’s and the St. Ann’s Society.
