Randy Cooper, 61, Birdseye

Randy Cooper, 61, of Birdseye, passed away at 10:34 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
He was born February 22, 1954, in Huntingburg to Obie and Delores (Hoffman) Cooper. He married Gail R. Honaker on June 15th, 1974 in Birdseye.
He worked for the Dubois County Highway Department for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of Bethlehem Masonic Lodge # 574 in Birdseye and Nicholson Valley Church. He enjoyed serving the music ministry by playing the guitar. He was also a songwriter. He loved farming and riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter; Kelly Zehr; and a sister-in-law, Kim Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Gail R. Cooper of Birdseye; one daughter, Darlene (Tommie) Madden of Birdseye; two sons, Josh (Laura) Cooper of Birdseye and Chris Cooper of Birdseye; one sister, Anita (Butch) Parrow of Minnesota; two brothers, Jerry Cooper of Birdseye and Gary (Margie) Cooper of Birdseye; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Randy Cooper will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery.
Pastor Albert Madden will officiate at the service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the day of the funeral. Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #574 will conduct a masonic memorial service at1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
