Martin E. Buschkoetter, 76, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
Martin was born in St. Henry, Indiana on August 26, 1939, to Ben and Lucille (Heim) Buschkoetter. He married Sharon Mehringer on May 18, 1961, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
He was employed by Kimball for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Jasper Moose, the Ireland Sportsman Club, and he was one of the directors of the Jasper Outdoor Recreation. He enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, playing cards, fishing, farming, and spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed sports and was an avid I.U. basketball and Indianapolis Colts football fan.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Buschkoetter of Jasper; two daughters, Cheryl Seger and her husband Pat of Dubois and Pamela Weyer and her husband Tony of Ferdinand; two sons, Rick Buschkoetter and his wife Sherry of Jasper and Mike Buschkoetter and his companion Debbie Kerstiens of Ferdinand; six grandchildren; two sisters,
Lillian Sickbert and her husband Art of Jasper and Mary Lou Sanders and her husband Albert of Huntingburg; four brothers, Anthony Buschkoetter of Huntingburg, Charles Buschkoetter of Dubois, Paul Buschkoetter of Petersburg and Ben Buschkoetter and his wife Debbie of Huntingburg.
Preceding him in death are one son, Jeffrey Buschkoetter; one daughter-in-law, Christy Buschkoetter; one grandson, Garrett Weyer; one sister, Bertha Veller; one brother, John Buschkoetter; and one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Buschkoetter.
Funeral services for Martin E. Buschkoetter will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Jasper Moose will have a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
