Southern Indiana baptized with 7 inches of rainfall

In Dubois County this morning over 60 roads are affected by the flooding. Over 7 inches of rain has inundated the area’s rivers and streams, forcing road closures throughout the county.

Patoka River crested at over 16 feet causing the 3rd Street bridge and Veteran’s Memorial Bridge to be closed.
According to Tammy Miller with the Dubois County Emergency Management Agency our saving grace from the rising waters has been the decrease in frequency of the storms.
Today has been relatively free of rain, however a large system has stalled in the region due to two fronts meeting and more storms are predicted to be on the way.
