50 new Covid-19 cases over weekend
Over the weekend, the Indiana State Department of Health recorded 50 new Covid-19 cases in Dubois County.
This brings the number of cases up to 6,680 since the pandemic began with 118 residents’ death attributed to the disease.
The county has had a 24.1 percent positivity rate over the past seven days for unique tests (individuals being tested for the first time). The state reported the seven-day positivity rate among all tests stands at 12.9 percent as of Monday.
Of the 228 ICU beds in District 10, 27.5 percent are in use for Covid-19 patients and 35.4 percent of ICU beds are in use by non-Covid-19 patients.
According to the state’s vaccine dashboard which is updated on Thursdays, of the 3,032,290 Hoosiers vaccinated, there have been 9,922 breakthrough cases recorded or 0.327 percent of the fully vaccinated. Of those cases, 272 have been hospitalized (about 0.009 percent of the fully vaccinated) and there have been 83 deaths (0.003 percent of the fully vaccinated). The average death of those who have been vaccinated has been 80 years old and all of the deaths have been for those 65 and over.
Vaccination data is not narrowed down to the county level on the state website.
