4-H Tractor Operator contest winners announced

The Dubois County 4-H Council and Purdue Extension Dubois County hosted the 4-H Tractor Operator contest on July 1, 2015 at the Dubois County 4 H Fairgrounds.

The competition tests the knowledge and skill of local 4-H youth in multiple areas, including general machinery proficiency, parts identification, safety, and operator ability.

Winners for the agricultural tractor division included: Adam Weyer, Champion, Junior category (Grades 3 – 7); Mason Gutgsell, Reserve Champion, Junior category; Wyatt Goeppner, Champion, Senior category (Grades 8 – 12); and Justin Lammers, Reserve Champion, Senior category. Overall, Wyatt Goeppner was named Grand Champion, and Justin Lammers was Reserve Grand Champion for the division.

Winners for the lawn and garden tractor division included: Jake Tower, Champion, Junior category (Grades 3 – 7); Jaxen Sermersheim, Reserve Champion, Junior category; Wyatt Goeppner, Champion, Senior category (Grades 8 – 12); and Justin Lammers, Reserve Champion, Senior category. Overall, Wyatt Goeppner was named Grand Champion, and Jake Tower was Reserve Grand Champion for the division.

Junior and Senior contestants will represent Dubois County as they move on to the southwestern Indiana area level competition in Princeton on July 26th.
