4-H Junior Leaders Elects Officers - Dubois County Free Press, Inc.

The Dubois County Junior Leaders met on Tuesday, September 9, 2004 at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds near Bretzville.

Officers for the 2014-2015 year are Jade Hoffman, president; Kelly Verkamp, vice-president; Korey Verkamp, treasurer; and Kelcie Hassfurther, Secretary.

Also discussed for the year was the Junior Leader recruitment cook-out planned for the Dubois County campgrounds; a partnership with Mentors for Youth to provide mentorship opportunities and group outings for both groups; 4-H school visits to county schools in November; the 4-H Open House on November 10 and new Junior Leader recruitment.

Dubois County Junior Leaders is open to any youth in grades 7-12 interested in the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.

Junior Leaders participate in monthly meetings, assist with county 4-H activities and judgings, complete community service projects, meet new friends, and have opportunities for numerous trips and scholarships.
