Dubois County Clerk Amy Kippenbrock announced about 34 percent of the registered voters in Dubois County have cast ballots early in-person or by mail in the 2020 General Election.

According to Kippenbrock, 8,400 voters have voted in person and the clerk’s office has received 2,130 mail-in ballots as of 4 p.m. for a total of 10,530 voters processed. There are 30,959 registered voters in Dubois County.

“With the volume of individuals that came to cast their votes on Saturday at Ferdinand, we have decided to increase voter opportunities there,” Kippenbrock wrote in an email.

The election board had approved adding hours at the Ferdinand Library on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
