23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibit winners named

Winners for the 23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibit at the Krempp Gallery, Jasper Arts Center, were recently announced at the award ceremony and reception on Thursday, September 8th.

Best of Show went to Laura Pommier of Jasper for her pastel piece, Sisterhood.

Other local and regional winners were Abby Laux, Celestine; Wyatt LeGrand, Bloomfield; Todd Snyder, E. Peoria, Ill.; Robert Schwieger, Plainfield, Ill.; Kathy Evans, Lafayette; Kathy Houghton, Crawfordsville.

This year’s judge for the show was Roger Willis, Gallery Director at Oakland City University in Oakland City. To ensure fairness, judging is made without identifying the artists.

The exhibit will remain up through September 30th.  Krempp Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday until 7:00 p.m., and Sundays from noon until 3:00 p.m.  Admission is free.
