The 2025 Dubois County 4-H Fair is just around the corner, and this year’s lineup promises to be bigger and better than ever. The fairgrounds will come alive with exciting competitions, educational exhibits, entertainment, and that special small-town charm that makes our county fair truly special.

Fair Highlights

Whether you’re a 4-H member, a proud parent, or just looking for some good old-fashioned family fun, there’s something for everyone at this year’s fair. Get ready for livestock shows, thrilling competitions, delicious food, and entertainment that’ll keep you coming back day after day.

Schedule of Events

Friday, July 11

  • 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Check in non-community judged projects & Community Judging
  • Categories include: Candlemaking, Consumer Clothing, Foods, Flowers, Sewing (CP), Cake Decorating (CPO), Basic Crafts, Ceramics, Garden (EB1), Clogging, Mini 4-H, Photography (EB2), Painting, Small Pets (FB)

Saturday, July 12

  • 9:30 a.m. – Finish 4-H Project Judging (Buildings closed to the public)
  • Judging Information Meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. in CP
  • 4:00 p.m. – Vehicle Rodeo/Scrapper Race
  • Admission: $10 (NO PIT PASS)
  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Horse & Pony Check-in at HB

Sunday, July 13 – Animal Check-in Day

  • Animal/Livestock Check-in Schedule:
    • 5:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. – Swine Check-in (SwB)
    • 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Beef Check-in (CtB)
    • 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Rabbit Check-in (SAB)
    • 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Dairy Check-in (CtB)
    • 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Goat Check-in (ShB)
    • 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Poultry/Ducks/Turkey/Pigeons Check-in (SAB)

  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Karen Kovich Caricature (GPT)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Dan the Balloon Guy Magic Show (FS)
  • 7:00 p.m. – Dan the Balloon Guy (FS)
  • 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Hunter Education Range

  • 5:30 p.m. – Touch a Truck (GSA)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Sheep Show/Showmanship (SC)
  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Live Entertainment (Wild Card) (MW)
  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Karen Kovich Caricature (GPT)

  • 6:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – 4-H Fishing Contest (CP/South Lake)
  • 9:00 a.m. – 4-H Dog Obedience Judging/Agility (CP/Agility Course)
  • 12:30 p.m. – Supreme Livestock Showmanship (SC)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Tug of War (GSA) (4-H & Open)

Friday, July 18 – Exhibit Day

  • 10:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. – 4-H Exhibit Buildings Open (EB1 & EB2)
  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Huntingburg Public Library at the 4-H Fair
  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Jasper Public Library at the 4-H Fair
  • 4:00 p.m. – Horse and Pony Fun Show (HPA)
  • 3:30 p.m. – 4-H Awards Ceremony Program (CP)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Dan the Balloon Guy (MW)
  • 6:00 p.m. – Antique and Farm Stock (GSA) Admission: $10

Saturday, July 19 – Final Weekend

  • 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Animal Checkout (Livestock & Barn Areas)

  • 6:00 p.m. – Pro Farm, OVTPA, and Truck Pull (GSA) Admission: $10

Monday, July 21 – Closing Day

  • 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – 4-H Exhibition Check-out (EB1 & EB2)

  • No coolers allowed in the Grandstand Arena
  • Grandstand Admission: Free for Ages 5 and under
  • No alcohol permitted on 4-H Fairgrounds during 4-H Fair
  • Any changes to the Fair Schedule will be released to local media
