The Herbstfest Queens and court recognized a Kentucky teen with this rapidly spreading signal of support – a thumbs up. Lane Goodwin is a 13-year-old battling an extremely rare form of childhood cancer that affects one out of one million children. Lane was diagnosed in March of 2010 and has relapsed three times. In August 2011 scans revealed 13 tumors in his bones. Lane’s story has swept through the social sites and now countless people have given the thumbs-up in support of the teen’s fight.
