$20,000 in meth seized during I-69 traffic stop

Thursday evening, Indiana State Police arrested a Hazleton, Ind., man after allegedly finding 450 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 69.
According to police, Trooper Ross Rafferty stopped a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck for making an unsafe lane movement near State Road 168. The officer identified the driver as Clint Meier, 53, of Hazleton.
Trooper Mike Finney and his K-9, Boomer, were nearby and responded to assist. When they arrived, Boomer alerted to the presence of narcotics inside Meier’s vehicle.
Troopers searched the vehicle and found a large plastic bag containing 450 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The street value of the crystal meth is approximately $20,000.
Meier was arrested on a Level 3 felony count of possession of over 10 grams of meth and a Level 2 felony count of dealing in meth. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
