20 county roads impacted by flooding

The Dubois County Highway Department reported that 20 county roads remain closed due to flooding from the weekend rains.

In District 1, Madison Township continues to see the heaviest impacts with ten closures. CR 150 North has two separate closures — west of CR 750 West and between 500 West and 600 West — along with CR 875 West south of CR 150 North and CR 50 North west of CR 750 West, all tied to Little Flat Creek. CR 800 West north of CR 300 South, CR 650 West south of 100 South, Division Road east of CR 600 West, Stewart Road off Division Road, CR 150 South west of Old Huntingburg Road, and Ell Creek Road north of CR 400 South remain affected by the Patoka River. Harbison Township’s CR 600 North has reopened since the previous report.

District 1

District 2 now has four closures, down from seven. CR 300 North in Marion Township west of CR 175 East remains closed due to the Patoka River, as do three Bainbridge Township roads: CR 190 North north of Meridian Road, Kellerville Road north of Cathy Lane, and CR 225 South between WITZ Road and CR 130 West. CR 175 East in both Marion and Harbison townships has reopened.

District 2

In District 3, six roads remain closed, down from nine. Old Huntingburg Road in Bainbridge Township remains closed due to the Patoka River. CR 400 South has two separate closures tied to Ell Creek and Hunley Creek, while CR 130 West and Old Road 64 are also closed due to Hunley Creek. 1st Street in Huntingburg remains closed due to Bruner Creek. Duff Road Southeast, CR 75 West, and CR 660 South have all reopened.

District 3

  • Patoka Twp — 1st Street – Huntingburg, West of CR 75 West (Bruner Creek)

Motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads and never attempt to drive through standing water. Road conditions are being monitored, and closures will be updated as water levels change.
