Billie Joe “Bill” Hopper, 69, Dubois

Billie Joe “Bill” Hopper, 69, of Dubois, entered into eternal rest on July 22, 2023, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare.

He was born at Camp Roberts, California, on August 26, 1953, to Charles “Eddie” and Menerva Ellen (Riggle) Hopper.

Billie married Beatrice “Bea” Brosmer on June 28, 1975, and she survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Eugene “Gene” Hopper.

Billie had worked at Uebelhor and Sons and then French Lick Auto before retiring as a mechanic and maintenance.

He loved to fish, work on cars and be with family and friends.

Billie is survived by his wife, Bea Hopper of Dubois; son,  Jared Hopper (Lynley Bennett) of Birdseye; two daughters, Amy Jones (Phillip) of Dubois and Carrie Newlin (Danny) of Dubois; brother, Floyd E. (Pete) Hopper of West Baden Springs; two sisters, Sharon D. Wininger of West Baden Springs and Bonnie Kellams of West Baden Springs; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

 Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 28, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.

Burial will be at a later date at Ames Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions can be made to Arrangements in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Homes, 9640 W. State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
