15th Street bridge could reopen this week
It’s been a long project that has added traffic onto other streets and roads in Jasper but weather permitting, the 15th Street Bridge could possibly be open by the end of this week.
Dubois County Highway Engineer Brent Wendholt reported that the contractor has moved quickly on getting the bridge to near completion and although it was projected to open December 5, weather postponed it again.
Additionally, Wendholt says that they will also have to close it again for two days beginning the 18th of December to seal the surface.
The bridge was closed for renovations Monday, September 29th, as the contractor, American Contracting of Jeffersonville, made repairs to the structure.
