12 Covid-19 cases recorded Friday

With 12 new Covid-19 cases recorded Friday adding to the four recorded on Thursday, the number of cases has increased by 16 since Tuesday.

The total number of cases since the pandemic began stands at 6,267 with 118 residents dying from Covid-19.

Data can be viewed at the ISDH Covid-19 Dashboard. It is updated daily at noon.

According to the state, more than 76 percent of the samples tested recently are of the Delta strain of the coronavirus. Not every positive case is sampled to determine what variant is present.
