11 new Covid-19 cases reported
Tuesday, the Dubois County Health Department reported 11 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
That brings the total to 758 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents. Of the 758 cases, 581 have reportedly recovered and 13 have died. The health department reported 5,823 tests have been submitted.
Cases were reported in Northeast Dubois and Forest Park yesterday. As part of the response protocol, students in close proximity of the positive cases are required to stay home for at least 14 days with no signs of the disease before returning. They will take part in e-learning during that time.
Close contact (or proximity) is anyone within six feet of a positive case for 15 minutes or more.
Officials did not report how many students this affected but due to the close contact protocols, seven games had to be canceled for Forest Park’s girls soccer team.
