$1,000 reward offered in burglary investigation

The Community Strike Force Against Violence is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in a burglary overnight in Jasper.

According to police, a residence on the 900 block of Giesler Road was broken into overnight. A crossbow and undetermined amount of money was taken from the garage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jasper Police Department at 812-482-2255 or on the anonymous tip line at 812-481-2677 (COPS).

Police also issued a reminder to citizens to keep residential and vehicle doors locked; especially during the overnight hours.
