Schnitzelbank Bratwurst Day – video

Mayor Terry Seitz proclaimed yesterday as the official “Schnitzelbank Bratwurst Day” in a celebration at the restaurant. After the celebration the revelers joined in the popular “Schnitzelbank Song” which was filmed and will be posted on Youtube soon.

This is all spurred by the success the Schnitzelbank has enjoyed in the Super 46 Sandwich contest sponsored by Indiana Tourism. The contest started with 46 sandwiches from throughout the state and through each round of eliminations the Schnitzelbank Bratwurst has prevailed.

As of last night the Schnitzelbank Bratwurst had more votes than any of the remaining three sandwiches. If the Bratwurst beats the Roast Pork Po’ Boy from Papa Roux in Indianapolis, the Schnitzelbank crew will be driving a catering truck up to Lucas Oil Stadium for the final cookoff next week.
